Leveraging Market Research to Drive Viral Marketing Success

Challenge: As a market researcher, my challenge was to create compelling data-driven reports to pitch social insights to blue-chip clients. My role was to analyze various data sources such as Brandwatch, WGSN, Google Analytics, and Google Trends to identify trends and patterns in consumer behavior. One of my main objectives was to provide valuable insights that would help clients make data-driven decisions for their marketing strategies.

Solution: Using my expertise in market research, I created over 65 reports that provided insights to clients such as McDonald's, O2, Adidas, BoConcept, and Warner Bros. These reports helped clients understand their audience better and create more effective marketing campaigns. Out of my own curiosity and initiative, I also provided insights on McDonald's cravings during the lockdown period. Based on these insights, I recommended the release of the official Happy Meal® box template, which went viral globally once released.

Results: By leveraging my market research skills, I was able to provide valuable insights that drove success for my clients. This success helped McDonald's increase their engagement with their audience and drive sales.
